Rajya Sabha on Wednesday handed a invoice to include Kashmiri, Dogri and Hindi as official languages of Jammu and Kashmir in addition to English and Urdu. The Jammu and Kashmir Formal Languages Monthly bill is the sixth invoice to be handed in the Upper House of the Parliament.
Previously on Tuesday, Lok Sabha experienced passed the similar invoice, which was introduced in the lessen House of Parliament by Minister of Condition for Residence G Kishan Reddy.
Union Dwelling Minister Amit Shah experienced described the passing of Jammu and Kashmir Formal Languages (Amendment) Bill by Lok Sabha as momentous day for individuals of the Union Territory.
‘Passing of J&K official languages bill momentus’
In a collection of tweets, Amit Shah mentioned less than the laws, specific attempts will be designed towards the advancement of key regional languages like ‘Gojri’, ‘Pahari’ and ‘Punjabi’.
“A momentous day for the folks of J&K as Jammu Kashmir Formal Languages (Modification) Invoice was handed in Lok Sabha. With this historic bill…Extended-awaited aspiration of the people of J&K arrives true!,” he wrote.
“Beneath this monthly bill, unique attempts will be created toward the progress of important regional languages like ‘Gojri’, ‘Pahari’ and ‘Punjabi’,” he stated.
The property minister even further said that with this, the invoice will also improve the existing institutional structure for the marketing and growth of regional languages.
“I thank PM @narendramodi ji for his determination in the direction of restoring the culture of Jammu and Kashmir by way of this bill. I also want to assure our sisters and brothers of Jammu and Kashmir that the Modi govt will go away no stone unturned to provide back again the glory of Jammu and Kashmir,” his tweet go through.
