Canada ‘Sixties Scoop’: Indigenous survivors map out their tales


Hundreds of indigenous kids in Canada ended up forcibly removed from their people in between the 1950s and 1980s, in what is acknowledged as the “Sixties Scoop”.

They ended up place into non-indigenous homes by welfare organizations, in an try to assimilate them into mainstream culture.

Now survivors are mapping out their stories and getting solace in connecting with others.
