WASHINGTON — Tensions amongst President-elect Joe Biden’s transition team and political appointees at the Pentagon erupted on Friday more than performing Protection Secretary Christopher Miller’s abrupt final decision Thursday to cancel transition team conferences with Pentagon officers for the relaxation of the 12 months.

In a statement Friday, Miller claimed that the Biden changeover and the Division of Defense would be having a “mutually agreed on holiday getaway pause,” and restart meetings and briefings in the new 12 months.

But a spokesman for the Biden transition crew mentioned that no these types of mutual arrangement experienced at any time existed.

“Let me be very clear: There was no mutually agreed-upon holiday crack,” transition spokesman Yohannes Abraham informed reporters on Friday afternoon. “In point, we think it’s essential that briefings and other engagements go on throughout this time period, as there’s no time to spare.”

The abrupt suspension of conferences caught Defense Department officers by surprise, in accordance to Axios, which first claimed the news of Miller’s selection.

A spokesman for the Division of Defense did not reply to a ask for for comment from CNBC on the conflicting accounts from Miller and Biden transition officials.
