Union Residence Minister Amit Shah will undertake a two-day pay a visit to to Assam and Manipur from December 26 through which he will lay the foundation stone of a new medical college or university in Guwahati and distribute fiscal grants to 8,000 ‘namghars’ or Vaishnavite monasteries less than the Assam Darshan programme, officials reported on Thursday. In Manipur, he will lay the basis stones of the Churachandpur professional medical school, an IIT at Muongkhong, a condition governing administration guest house, the point out police headquarters and the integrated command and handle centre in Imphal.
