On December 25, north-east India will get its to start with-ever statue of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Constructed at a cost of Rs 15 lakh, the 13-toes bronze statue is being installed at Zero Position of the East-West Corridor.
Union street and transportation minister Nitin Gadkari will be current for the unveiling of the statue alongside with Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.
Artist Chandra Sekhar Das created the statue in 4 months in his studio in Kolkata. Silchar MP from the location Dr Rajdeep Roy conceived the idea on August 16 this 12 months, which marks the demise anniversary of Vajpayee.
