A Montreal-certain Air Canada Boeing 737 Max ferry flight diverted in Arizona earlier this week because of to an engine situation, the airline claimed Friday.
Pilots on Air Canada Flight 2358 obtained an engine notify shortly following takeoff from Marana, Arizona on Tuesday, the airline reported. The provider had been storing 737 Max jets there after the planes ended up grounded throughout the world in March 2019 immediately after two lethal crashes.
“As section of usual working strategies in such scenarios, decided to shut down a single engine” and diverted to Tucson, Air Canada explained. The flight was carrying a few crew members and no travellers. The airplane continues to be in Tucson.
Boeing declined to remark and referred concerns to the airline.
Belgian aviation web site Aviation24.be explained the airplane had a “hydraulic low strain indication.” Air Canada did not quickly answer to further request for comment.
U.S. authorities lifted the ban on the planes previous thirty day period immediately after Boeing manufactured alterations to software package that was implicated in both crashes, and tackled other concerns. Canadian officers last week accepted layout improvements to the planes.
