ST. JOHN’S, ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA: Skipper Jason Holder is just one of 10 players who will miss his country’s tour of Bangladesh simply because of “Covid-19 related worries or individual fears”, Cricket West Indies (CWI) declared on Tuesday.
Holder, Kieron Pollard, Darren Bravo, Shamarh Brooks, Roston Chase, Sheldon Cottrell, Evin Lewis, Shai Hope, Shimron Hetmyer and Nicholas Pooran pulled out of the tour that incorporates a few one-working day internationals and two Assessments in Chattogram and Dhaka.
Fabian Allen and Shane Dowrich are also unavailable for own factors.
CWI said its Covid-19 policy “permits any player to opt out of collection for an overseas tour, only when based on the player’s personal safety fears or considerations”.
