It was Shehla’s “dear friend” Sonam Kapoor who supported her in launching her own label and has been a pillar of support through thick and thin. Chatting to ETimes, Shehla says, “I know Sonam since we were in school. Before launching a brand, I worked as a celebrity stylist. I had designed something for her and she wore it for a television show. It was so well received that she encouraged me to start my own brand. And, I thought it will be a great idea too”.
Adding how, through the years, too, her friend has been a constant support, the designer relays, “She also did the first campaign for me and has always been of great support in terms of promoting my clothes. Every time I design a new collection, I create at least one piece that would look good on her”.
