Keira Knightley will never act in sex scenes directed by males

Through an overall look on the Chanel Connects podcast, the actress explained “It is really partly vanity and also it is the male gaze” for why she does not want to shoot these types of scenes under the path of a man.

Knightley talked to “The Farewell” filmmaker Lulu Wang and writer-producer Diane Solway about Knightley’s conclusion to add a no nudity clause to her deal considering the fact that she turned a mom.

“If I was producing a story that was about that journey of motherhood and human body acceptance, I sense like, I’m sorry, but that would have to be with a female filmmaker,” she reported.

The “Misbehaviour” star additional “I do not want it to be individuals terrible sex scenes where you might be all greased up and everyone is grunting. I’m not interested in performing that.”

“Stating that, you can find instances the place I go, ‘Yeah, I entirely see where by this sex would be truly great in this film and you generally just need to have any individual to search sizzling,'” Knightley mentioned. “So as a result you can use any individual else for the reason that I’m as well vain and the body has had two small children now and I would just rather not stand in front of a group of men naked.”

Knightley welcomed daughter Edie in 2015 and daughter Delilah in 2019 with partner, musician James Righton.
